Tired. Hungry. Getting cold. No better time to eat and celebrate my birthday with my brother buying!
Took all day Thursday to explore from 37th down to Chinatown and then across the Williamsburg Bridge to have dinner at Peter Luger’s Steakhouse with my brother. So great doing this type of travel solo so as not to worry about keeping others happy and them getting tired! Selfish? Maybe but it was GREAT!
More pictures to follow using SmugMug as my photo gallery with a plugin for Lightroom makes it easy to sort and upload photos. Along with watching WP videos on Lynda.com I am so glad I am retired!
Also have been building a new WP site on my localhost learning ‘stuff’ that will eventually be moved to production.
What is appearing to be an annual trip to NYC, I started my travels on Monday, October 15 for a 10 hours train ride. This type of travel was a bucket list trip to NYC and it is now done and will probably not be repeated as too much time was lost on the train but it was used wisely listening to audiobooks to pass the time.
This afternoon we celebrated both Grandma’s (yiayia, 94th) and Katelyn’s (29th) birthdays with Morgan and Joe joining us here at the house. We were also joined by Joe’s sister, Jackie, and her husband, Issac and their amazing little girl, Eva.
Mom was so happy to share the love and smiles given to her by Eva as was captured in the following video.
Katelyn was thrilled to get a bag full of goodies and has not yet shared any!
Dinner was pizza that was ordered from Mega Pizza off Leesville Road in Raleigh. The MEGA PIZZA was just that, HUGE and covered with sausage, which was ordered along with a large cheese pizza and a small gluten free cheese pizza with olives and mushrooms. In celebration of mom’s birthday the owner, Eric, threw in a piece of Tiramisu for mom to enjoy after she had the pizza. Perhaps she will enjoy it tomorrow since we also had an ice cream cake planned for the celebration.
Thank you all for being here to make her day and evening special for all of us.
