This afternoon we celebrated both Grandma’s (yiayia, 94th) and Katelyn’s (29th) birthdays with Morgan and Joe joining us here at the house. We were also joined by Joe’s sister, Jackie, and her husband, Issac and their amazing little girl, Eva.
Mom was so happy to share the love and smiles given to her by Eva as was captured in the following video.
Katelyn was thrilled to get a bag full of goodies and has not yet shared any!
Dinner was pizza that was ordered from Mega Pizza off Leesville Road in Raleigh. The MEGA PIZZA was just that, HUGE and covered with sausage, which was ordered along with a large cheese pizza and a small gluten free cheese pizza with olives and mushrooms. In celebration of mom’s birthday the owner, Eric, threw in a piece of Tiramisu for mom to enjoy after she had the pizza. Perhaps she will enjoy it tomorrow since we also had an ice cream cake planned for the celebration.
Thank you all for being here to make her day and evening special for all of us.
Thinking that the dogs were barking at some deer in the backyard and not responding to come back in the house, I was forced to see what was causing them to bark without taking a breath. No deer in sight but their attention focused under the ramp going into the shed. Take a look at the video …
Well it was an offer too good to refuse. For the same price we paid for this week we are getting 7 more nights and 8 more days for the year 2019 here at Myrtle Beach. We will be sure to invite our dear friend Jackie and the Conlons to join us to repeat the week here in 2019. Perhaps Morgan and Matthew can join us this time and will be able to take vacation time off from work.
The offer included 75,000 Marriott points and a time period of 10 months to pay it off which was a very reasonable price to pay for 8 days and 7 nights.
This opportunity allows us to bank our 4000 points and take a nice 2 week vacation in the year 2019 as well as coming here to the beach.
The man cave has been setup and electrified thanks for Matthew and his electrical skills acquired while working at Sloan Service Company. The only thing missing is the a/c unit put in the side of the walls.
The next phase will be rebuilding the shed with donations from the players based on the winnings that night we play. I would suspect that the major contributors will be Ken or Norm. Or there will be a hat passed around at the end of the evening looking for pity money to help an old guy (me) make ends meet to pay the mortgage on the shed.
